QuickGrade publishes grading guides, calculator explanations, and reference charts used by teachers, students, and parents every day. This page describes how our content is written, reviewed, and kept current.
Our goal
Give educators and learners the fastest, clearest answer to common grading questions — the same way our easy grader gives instant percentages from wrong-answer counts.
Who writes for QuickGrade
Articles are drafted by educators and writers with classroom or tutoring experience and are edited by the QuickGrade team for clarity, accuracy, and neutrality. We do not accept paid guest posts or link placements in the body of a guide.
Sources we rely on
- Widely used US grading conventions (10-point scale, 7-point scale, plus/minus scales) documented on our grading scale chart.
- Standard arithmetic definitions — the percentage, weighted average, GPA, and final-grade formulas explained in our grade percentage formula guide.
- Publicly available handbooks and syllabi from US school districts, colleges, and universities.
Accuracy and corrections
Every calculator on QuickGrade is spot-checked against known worked examples — see how we verify calculations for the exact process. If you spot an error in a guide or calculator, please email us via the contact page. We fix errors promptly and note material changes at the top of the article.
Updates
Guides carry a "last updated" date near the title. We revisit high-traffic pieces at least once a year, and sooner when grading conventions, GPA scales, or common school policies change.
Independence and advertising
Advertising, when present, is clearly separated from editorial content. Advertisers do not influence which topics we cover or the conclusions we reach. See our disclaimer and privacy policy for more.
